How can you RP Sam as both a professor and a student?

I know there's some confusion for that. Before, in CRP, Sam always was a student. Sometimes she still is. But actually, I either don't put her in most of the RPs, or I make her as the teacher. Sorry for any trouble.

name: Jackal Oblek Taghian
nickname: "Jack", given to him by Natalie Grimaldi (KenKen's character)

house: Gryffindor!

appearance: A boy of medium height, he's rather scruffy, with black hair that comes just above his shoulders - so pretty long, in other words. His eyes are amber-coloured, and his gaze is very penetrating, very serious. He isn't handsome in the way that girls would be fawning over him, but his sullen personality and scruffy looks get him a few girls by trade.

birthday: (For your amusement ) 1 March

ethnicity: He is actually Egyptian, and speaks with an accent that sometimes is undistinguishable.

relationships: Father - Oblek (deceased), mother - Mirany, brother - Fox (now deceased)

skills: Potions, Quidditch, fighting... verbally and probably physically too; Magical dueling

weaknesses: Keeping his mouth shut at the right time, not talking, patience, falling for the wrong girl (he falls for almost anyone who he thinks is "right")

other distinguishable features: His gaze is sharp, penetrating; when angry or frustrated, there's a wild look in his eyes; Jackal has a scar running through his left eye, from when he was young.

disposition and demeanour: Probably a 75 to an 80. He's very sullen and serious, brooding, almost. Lawful evil - he's strict on certain people, but is willing to bend the rules... maybe.

blood: Pure.

wand: 14 1/2 inches, maple with a touch of heartstring

traits: Jackal is a very sullen, quiet student. He's been called many different names because of this, but the one he most often hears is "poser"; he's very solitary and serious, and keeps to himself most of the time. Occasionally, he can slip up and you may catch him off guard, in which he will sputter nonsensically until you either forgive him, or until he manages to find his voice. He experiences strange moodswings often times, making him very commanding and a bit bossy or pushy. He doesn't go by the "treat others as you would want to be treated" rule - in fact, he could care less how you treated him.

Jackal almost always manages to have a good rebuttal or sharp remark somwhere in his mind, and he always voices his opinion and stands up for what he (and only he) thinks is right, even if it's not. He's very stubborn and impulsive, which shows because he suffers when he backsasses anyone. All of this is a result of his traumatic past.

bio: Jackal's history, to this day, isn't completely known to the public. He keeps to himself, and usually won't explain everything.

Born in Egypt, Jackal's life never started out well. His father, Oblek, was cruel, merciless, and often would do things to Jackal that reduced the boy to tears. Every night, his mother came home late from her work, which left Jackal to be babysat by his father until then.

Before Jackal discovered his "true identity", his parents didn't say anything. They sort of went into hiding, shunning the secret away from their son for exactly eleven years. Only when Jackal received the letter of acceptance to Hogwarts did he truly feel where he belonged.

Thus opened up a whole new doorway for Jackal. Before, he was a lonely soul, with only a younger (by four years) brother to entertain or play with, yet cheerful nonetheless. Upon moving to London, Jackal suddenly had a feeling that things would ease up for him.

They didn't - when he was twelve, Jackal's father was brutally murdered by the Death Eaters, which drove his mother to become an Auror. Though her job was successful, and she enjoyed it too, Jackal's family was never whole. Because of this, Jackal, the young, bright, curious adventurer, grew silent, and darkened into what he is now.

For the first six years at Hogwarts, Jackal was shunned by his classmates, all because of his strange accent and backwards country manners, along with his tormented past. Though this normally stomped the boy down to fury, he persisted in becoming an excellent student - which sometimes happened, for he had his own strengths.

In Jackal's fourth year at Hogwarts, a crime with unknown origins and purposes fell upon him, and he was instantly forced to perform a task against his every will. Because of this, he was sent and endured the Ordeal, the ancient ritual that forever separated insanity and damnation from insecurity. As a reminder of the Ordeal, Jackal now bears a gruesome slash in the palm of his right hand, and ancient prayer beads hang from his hair, caked with the traces of his own blood.

edit- In his seventh and present year at Hogwarts, Jackal and his younger brother, Fox, engaged in a battle of wits; after absolutely no contact with one another for about two days, Jackal, in his rage, fled, isolating himself in the boy's dormitory, where, unseen by him, Fox was mysteriously killed, leaving Jackal to fend for himself with his mother, who still has no idea that her son is dead.

In between those lonely years, major things happened to Jackal and his family. Jackal met Natalie Grimaldi, a young girl who caught him on his escape to Hogsmeade during the weekend. An unlikely friendship began to flourish between this odd couple, and Jackal sees Natalie as more of a friend - though he certainly would never admit it to her face.

A few weeks later, Jackal and Natalie unearthed an opening to an unknown world, where they sought out a treasure, an old notebook that contained a will from Jackal's great-great grandfather, who, at the time, was having a love relationship with Natalie's great-great grandmother. ("More Than a Thousand Years") The will was specifically set and instructed that any of the fortunes would go to their great-great grandsons - Jackal and Natalie themselves.

Yet life continues to move forward in Jackal's eyes. His mother, currently, is very successful in her work, and Jackal, although he still remains quiet, believes that hope will arrive for him, and that everything will turn out right.

He can only hope.

This was a hard one to sort...as Jackal has traits from many Hogwarts houses. In the end, I decided it was a toss-up between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, but seeing as you answered the questions for sorting very...er...Gryffindorish then I pronounce Erik and Jackal husband and wife Jackal a GRYFFINDOR.

He may be a slightly different Gryffindor to the rest of the group, but that only proves interesting in RP, right?

nickname(s): “Arty”, or simply “Art”. Sienna Smith (Nordy's character) calls him "Artydeus"; it's an inside joke. If you ever think about dubbing him with an annoying petname for “Artemis”, you’ll automatically find yourself on his bad side, though he probably doesn’t have one exactly.
age and year: Eighteen/Seventh
hair: Wavy… not exactly curly, but just with a slight wave; brown, though he’s also been called a blond before, so it really doesn’t matter. You choose.
eyes: Hazel.
skin: Fair.
other distinguishing features: He always bears a smirk, or at least some sort of grin—he claims it’s a “genetic thing”; three tufts from his hair always stick out, and try as he might to smooth it down, it never works.

appearance: Artemis isn’t exactly the tallest person around, though that goes pretty unnoticed by most people. He has a young, almost boyish look about him, with pleasantly untidy hair, which falls near his shoulders, just almost, that sticks up in three exact tufts in the back (these are always there, no matter how hard he tries to smooth them down); generally, it’s more of a brown-ish colour, but because of the lighter (but still brown) flecks and tones in his hair, Artemis has also been referred to as a blond (or, if you’re really feeling adventurous, “dirty” blonde). His eyes are a brilliant hazel, and they always retain a mischievous, mirthful glint to them—just another reflection of his personality. Because of his youthful, naïve appearance and spirit, Artemis isn’t exactly taken seriously—with good reason.

When robes are no longer needed on weekdays or casual outings, Artemis is strictly in the casual dress department. He doesn’t exactly care if people think he’s strange or “different”, in fact, he likes it: though he doesn’t try to hard to spiff himself up, the odd trinkets and various necklaces Artemis sports is why he’s targeted as “different”; these usually include a ribbon tied around his right wrist, and a few odd, yet symbolic necklaces he managed to collect from his “adventures.”

In actuality, Artemis' preference towards wardrobe issues would be a very tailored, almost professional look. While this isn't exactly "casual" dress, he still considers it to be: collared, button-down shirts and dark jeans are his choice.

weaknesses: He can’t play Quidditch for his life, nor can he hold a girl’s heart for very long; one reason may be his laugh, which is incredibly annoying (somewhat like a hyena, though not a maniac cackling noise) and high-pitched, and often results in the closest thing to public humiliation. Artemis, while he’s a fine student in school, often gets into trouble because of his mischievous, joking personality, and can never really keep a secret for long; shutting up is and learning when to stop talking at the right time is also a problem for Artemis.

traits: The only word you could describe and classify Artemis would be “naïve”. Blissfully ignorant of how the world works around him, Artemis fully believes, to an extent, that he is the only one living on Earth. His pride as an exceptional musician can reach to unhealthy levels, causing him to be an arrogant, cocky person, but this never lasts for very long. He’s shrewdly clever and witty, and isn’t afraid to speak his mind—unfortunately, he does that far too often, and often times lands in detention or some other form of punishment.

Artemis, being a sort of hyper-active, giddy person, is sometimes gullible, especially with someone he hardly knows. Because of his odd, awkward personality in general, many of the meaner “bullies” will stick around with Artemis, doing him favours, complimenting him on almost anything they can, when, in reality, they’re laughing behind his back. Because of this, Artemis is prone to making friends easily, but never knows if his “friend” is truly an enemy or not.

Adding on to this, Artemis is very mischievous, very joking. Though he’s eighteen, Artemis is rarely taken seriously, and rarely thought of as being mature. Still, through his lively, giddy hyper-activity, Artemis means well, and seldom strives to actually harm anyone, and hardly ever puts other people’s lives on the edge.

bio: Not exactly innocent, Artemis’ life started out, and continues to be, pretty normal. Or whatever you define “normal” as.

Artemis’ father Liam, a trained musician, knew his boy would do him proud in the art of music, thus he started training his son to play the piano, and eventually, the violin. Recognizing Artemis’ raw talent, Liam sent his son off to a private school for further studying in music, hoping that Artemis would become a knowledgeable, wise young man.

It didn’t work—in the span of maybe two years, Artemis, thanks to his awkward, overly-zealous behaviour and personality, was expelled from his “sanctuary”. Though Liam was disappointed, he wasn’t thrown into despair, and sought out for other schools for his son.

Because Artemis’ family was made up of Muggles, Artemis went on with his daily life, wreaking havoc to almost anything or anyone he knew. But in a few short months, the letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry arrived.

Liam was everything, a whole jumble of emotions. But possibly the biggest emotion of all was surprise. His son, his Artemis, wasn’t going to be attending a regular, normal, every-day school, but a wizarding school! The thought of Artemis causing mischief and flinging wands around was just too much for him to bear, and he insisted that the letter had been sent to the wrong family.

But it hadn’t been, and no later, Artemis packed up and moved to England—the place where, supposedly, this “Hogwarts” (or “Pig’s Warts” as Artemis liked to call it) was located—and immediately, stumbled upon the door to a new life—for better or for worse, he knew, and began his life as a wizard-in-training.

edit: It is in fact true that, before his first year at Hogwarts, Artemis allowed Elena Lopez to stay with his family for the few last weeks of their summer.

nickname(s): “El”, “Elli”; “Mi Elena más estimado” (“My dearest Elena”), a nickname her mother called her back in Spain. Her closer friends usually refer to her as “El”, and no teachers or any figures of authority (save for her closest “friends”—her friend’s parents, or her mother’s friends) are permitted to call her by any nicknames.
age and year: Fifteen/Fifth
gender: Female
hair: Long (falling down to the middle of her back), a rather dark brown; it naturally curls in ringlets/waves, which she often finds herself toiling with during class or any other time.
eyes: A magnificent brown; it compliments her hair.
skin: Not too tan, but not on the lighter side, either.
other distinguishing features: Elena has fairly high cheekbones (sort of like Keira Knightley’s), but those are accentuated by her hair; she has both ears pierced (only one ring, though, for each ear), and the earrings are pearls—a gift from her mother before she left home.

appearance: Elena is a beautiful young girl; her brown locks are her subject of vanity, though she should have more to be proud of. Tall and slender, she holds herself proudly, carrying herself with dignity. She looks, more or less, like her ethnicity, with dark eyes and hair, and a well-toned figure.

Going back to the subject of Elena’s hair, she often leaves it down or some of it pulled back; ever rarely does she have it out of her way, which is a reason why she’s so distinguishable around the school. Because of her usually outgoing personality, Elena often bears a warm smile, ready to greet someone on their way about Hogwarts.

On weekends and casual outings—the times when students no longer require robes—Elena often sticks with stylish clothing; her choice of style is that of a more vintage look, but none of that inhibits anything.

However, you would never see Elena parading around in a skirt, unless it was below her knees. Even then, you’d have to almost force her to put it on, though she certainly does spend a lot of time fixing herself up for balls and any other said occasions (dances, Christmas parties, etc.)

In general, Elena is very social and outgoing, and doesn’t really have any social problems when speaking to people. She isn’t awkward or anything, so it’s considered a skill that she’s very good at public speaking. This includes giving speeches and persuading people.
weaknesses: Although Elena is mainly a very relaxed, laid-back person, she can become quite a feisty, independent girl when she has to, thus making her prone to contradict or interject in a conversation she doesn’t particularly like.

Artemis Hulce. He’s another story. Elena absolutely can’t bear to even stand next to him, even if he isn’t really doing anything. She finds him extremely annoying (not just him in general, but his laugh) and arrogant, and thinks he’s far too immature to be in Hogwarts. Though their relationship is a bitter one, Elena, being a person who can never really be mad for very long, hopes to develop a better friendship with him.

traits: Elena is a very strong, independent little thing. A tough cookie by nature, she often knows how to deal with things assertively, and isn’t afraid to do so, either. Easily annoyed with haughty boys like Artemis (she’s grown up with two younger brothers, both of which are increasingly annoying each day), Elena deals with situations like these with the ferocity and fire of a snake that’s ready to bite. When (easily) angered, a wild look comes into her gaze, and she may just punch her opponent right then and there.

However, Elena is not always like this. Much of the time, she’s very kind, loyal. She doesn’t have an actual mean bone in her body—she would never hurt anyone for the sake of laughing at their misery or pain—so you could call her innocent.

As said, Elena is very kindhearted and considerate of others. She’ll always greet you with a warm smile and is easy to engage in conversation. Even if she doesn’t particularly like the person next to her, she won’t show that unless necessary, thus making her a sort of magnet for friends. She fully believes in the “treat others as you would like to be treated” rule.

bio: Elena’s life started out as a quiet one, filled with laughter and joy. She grew up on a horse ranch in Madrid, and instantly fell in love with all things equestrian.

Around the house, she took care of the horses, sewed, and did the normal things expected by a young Spanish girl, while her father and brothers went out on their adventures. Though Elena wanted desperately to drop the life of a quiet, innocent girl, she didn’t show it aloud—but as promised, her time came, and her father took her out on a joy ride.

On her 10th birthday, a year before she was admitted to Hogwarts, Elena received a great birthday gift—her very own horse, a mustang she named Zorro. However, upon her first year with Zorro, Elena was accepted into Hogwarts, a school she only dreamed about.

Although she longed to be at Hogwarts, Elena knew that things would change from this day forth. Because her family was in hiding from others (since they were magical), Elena knew she would have to go herself to Hogwarts.

Upon entering London, Elena stumbled upon a boy who called himself Artemis in Diagon Alley. They talked briefly, before Elena continued on with her shopping, thinking she would never meet this Artemis again.

But she did. Because Elena had nobody to take care of her since she left Madrid, her uncle and aunt, two wonderful people who’d moved to Suffolk the previous summer when she visited, had taken guardianship to Elena, welcoming her with open hearts.

When he learned that Elena already had a home, Artemis demanded that she stayed with him for a while, because he liked her (though she detested him). Thus Elena spent the last few weeks of her summer with Artemis, who became like an older brother to her, and his father Liam.

Eventually, Artemis and Elena both entered Hogwarts together. While Artemis was used and toiled around with, Elena was living the opposite life of his—she was making friends left, right and center, and was excelling particularly in Charms and Transfiguration, whereas Artemis passed Defense Against the Dark Arts with flying colours.

So far, nothing major has changed Elena’s life, but even if it does, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
