Midnight earnings for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has brought in $22.2 million in midnight screenings domestically. The sixth installment has beaten The Dark Knight which was the previous record holder with $18.5 million. It also beat it predecessor Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by $10 million.
