Prequel sells for 25,000 Pounds
Sunday, June 15th, 2008Bloomberg is reporting that the Harry Potter prequel that JK Rowling wrote for the What’s Your Story event, has been sold for 25,000 Pounds.
Remember that the prequel is due to appear online sometime on June 11th, on Waterstone’s website.
HP prequel now available
Thursday, June 12th, 2008The 800-word prequel to the Harry Potter series we all know and love was auctioned off in London for $48,900. The money will benefit a writer’s group, English Pen, and a dyslexia charity, Dyslexia Action.

JK Rowling to write Prequel for charity.
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008JK Rowling has written an 800 word prequel to the Harry Potter series, that will will be auctioned off for charity, with the proceeds going to English Pen, which promotoes literature, and Dyslexia Actio, which helps those who are dyslexic.

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008Columbia College is offering a Harry Potter course to incoming students, for a $600 credit hour fee.
The course will pick through Rowling’s writings, focusing on double meanings or intricate details. One example is the name of Harry’s Muggle residency, number four, Privet Drive. Students wrack their brains to answer questions like “What is a privet?”

Monday, May 19th, 2008Children’s Poet Laureate, Micheal Rosen, yesterday slammed JK’s multi million pound Harry Potter series as “boring” and inappropriate for children.
The author of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt claimed that the series had no relevance to real life and revealed he has refused to read them to his children for fear of boring them. [...]
