A first edition, signed copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has recently been auctioned for charity. The book raised £2,050 for Cancer Research UK.

Harry Potter stars play charity cricket match – Images!

A few days ago we told you that a group of Harry Potter stars played in a charity cricket match in honor of paralyzed stunt double David Holmes. Well today we have some images from the match for you guys to take a look at. They show Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom). Also a note from the match is that Daniel was not allowed to bat doing the match because of insurance reasons.

Daniel Radcliffe, Matthew Lewis and Imelda Staunton donate signed bears to Project Teddy Bear 2009

Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge) have all donated signed teddy bears to Project Teddy Bear 2009 to raise funds for breast cancer. The bears will be auctioned off on eBay on the 27th of August.

Harry Potter Stars play in Charity Cricket Match

Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) have recently participated in a charity cricket match to support David Holmes, the stunt double who was injured during the filming of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Matthew Lewis commented on his Twitter saying that €10,000 pounds was raised and Team Gryffindor (Daniel and Matthew included) beat Team Slytherin (Tom Felton included) by 4 wickets.

Daniel Radcliffe donates signed HP books to Memorial fund

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) has recently donated signed Harry Potter books to the Katie Hart-Greenfield Memorial Fund, a fund set up after 15 year old Katie Hart died of a brain tumor last year. Both Daniel and Katie previously met when she was battling the illness and also wrote a piece for her funeral. The books went up for auction to raise funds for the Little Havens Hospice, the place where Katie spent her last days.

Katie’s Dad, Nick Hart commented;

“Katie and Daniel met each other a couple of times and he sent a very heartfelt message, which was read out at her funeral. It’s great he has continued to show his support, and it shows what a lovely young man he is.”

Signed HP Bookmark up for auction

The Aberdeen Press and Journal has recently reported the discovery of a Harry Potter Bookmark signed by none other then J.K Rowling. The bookmark has been donated to the Blythswood Care Bookshop and it will be auctioned off for charity. Anyone who is interested in buying the bookmark then they must submit their bids via envelope.

Cast/Crew to Honour the memory of Robert Knox

The Cast and Crew of the Harry Potter series will wear white ribbons to the London Premiere of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in honour of Robert Knox (Marcus Belby) who was tragically killed in a Pub Brawl last year. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) and David Yates (Director) have all spoken on the issue.

Daniel:

“I won’t pretend I knew him incredibly well, or was his best friend on set, but I knew him and liked him, and what happened to him was obviously tragic and awful.”

Bonnie:

“It’s going to be quite a traumatic experience for his family, who’ve been very supportive of him,”

David:

“You are surrounded by young people all day long who bring a great commitment to what they do, and Rob was no different.”

He went on to say.

“He came in and wanted to do brilliant work, he put his heart and soul into it, and you just think ‘what a terrible waste’.”

Mary GrandPre to create new Potter art for charity

According to the Herald Tribune, Mary GrandPre (US Harry Potter Illustrator) will create drawings of Harry Potter characters for charity.

25 original sketches of characters from the series to benefit Forty Carrots Family Center’s Capital Campaign

The charity in question Forty Carrots gives families in the Sarasota community quality childhood and parenting education.

A new autographed photo of Rupert Grint (who as you all know plays Ron Weasley in the films) is now available for viewing online and in our galleries. This particular picture was auctioned off to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s 2008 Crystal Ball Exclusive.

Other HP actors who submitted their photographs are Hugh Mitchell (Colin Creevey), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Devon Murray (Seamus Finnegan), the trio, and a group photo of Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), and Devon Murray, all of which can be seen at our galleries in the Actor Autographs section.

Alan Rickman Donates Money to Old School

Alan Rickman, the actor who plays Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies, has donated £13,470 to his alma mater, Latymer Upper in Hammersmith, west London. He is giving money so a student of a disadvantaged background, can be able to go to the school. He himself had won a scholarship there after his father, a factory worker, died when he was eight.
