J.K Rowling’s chair sells for £20,000!
Tuesday, July 28th, 2009The chair that J.K Rowling sat on to write Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets has recently been sold at a charity auction for £20,000. 20% of the funds raised from the chair will go to Books Abroad, a charity that sends school books to impoverished countries.

The heirs of author Adrian Jacobs are suing Rowling’s publisher for £500 million, claiming that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire lifted “substantial parts” from Jacobs’ 1987 book The Adventures of Willy the Wizard: Livid Land.

J.K Rowling Immortalised in Lego Mosaic
Tuesday, May 5th, 2009Tonight the Daily Telegraph is reporting that Harry Potter author J.K Rowling has been immortalised in a mosaic made of Lego. The mosaic was built at Lego-land Windsor. The mosaic of Rowling contains 48,000 “white, yellow and grey bricks,” and was constructed with the help of children this past bank holiday in the UK.
