Kevin McKidd clearly no fan of Potter

In a recent interview by mtv, which can be seen here, Kevin McKidd talks about a role in the last 2 potter movies he turned down supposedly because of a lack of time.

However, it doesn’t really become clear which role exactly he turned down. Might he have meant Fenrir Greyback when talking about “this big alpha male werewolf” character? The actor continues to confess his kids were “pissed”

Can you see Kevin McKidd in the role of villain Greyback? Or was it perhaps a lucky day for HPfans all around that he wasn’t interested?

Gleeson Wraps Filming

Addressing the press last night after winning an Emmy for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in the HBO miniseries Into the Storm, actor Brendan Gleeson noted that he has just finished filming in his role as Mad-Eye Moody for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I.

“I waved goodbye to him a week and a half ago. It was great fun, playing Mad-Eye was a hoot.”

Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince DVD out on December 8th in U.S.

It was announced earlier today that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released on DVD in the United States on December 8th. They will be releasing a one disc copy and a two disc special edition copy. The synopsis for the DVD is:

Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemorts defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, Harry discovers an old book marked mysteriously “This book is the property of the Half-Blood Prince” and begins to learn more about Lord Voldemort’s dark past.

Harry and Hagrids motorbike chase for DH! (Update)

A few days ago we told you that the stunt sequences for Harry and Hagrids motorbike escape was filmed in Kent. Well new images have been released! The new images are clearer and show the DH production truck filming behind them.

Stunt sequences for Harry and Hagrid’s Deathly Hallows motorbike escape has been filmed at the Dartford Tunnel in Kent, England. Daniel Radcliffe and Robbie Coltrane were not present as their stunt doubles were the ones in the motorbike. As we all know, this scene should be part of the seven Potters escape plan from Privet Drive.
